Of the four motels I stayed in on my road trip, this was both the most expensive and the worst sleep, largely due to the wind-tunnel-level volume of the A/C unit. The “luxuries” it advertises are lipstick on a pig so they can charge a lot for an aging no-frills roadside motel. The giant TV doesn’t have even broadcast channels - if you want to watch anything, you have to bring some kind of streaming device to plug in. The “luxury” linens felt cheap and scratchy, the “luxury” soap products had fancy-sounding names but didn’t feel or smell that great, and the fancy alarm clock (with wireless charging that didn’t work) went off for no reason at 6 AM. (Why do they even provide an alarm clock? Who in the world uses an unfamiliar hotel alarm clock instead of their phone?) My Keurig didn’t work (and to their credit, the front desk offered me coffee from the coffee shop instead). Nitpicky? Sure. Nothing about this place was nightmarish. And I am perfectly happy with scrubby towels, yellowed tubs and mismatched pillows when I’m saving money. But the high price made this modest room a disappointment.

irecently had a TERRIBLEweek but Alesandra (sp? was very kindAlso, I heard her speakingwith anothercustomer regarding a reservation and think she was extremely professional.Hershould be on the business card that I picked up. After a long daydealing with people that treated me like I was a thief or some otherlowlife it was likea breath of fresh air. I can't thank her enoughShe was the only person in this entire town and in any hotelto be caring. The Taos Lodge seems to host nice events like book and rotary clubs. I highly recommend this lodge and it all started with her. The people drinking cofee seemed to be having a good time. I will come back and recommend it to everyone. Virtual hugs to Alesandra

Having read all the reviews, I want to give this lodging a 5 as the service was good, but it seems that we must have been staying in a standard room that hadn’t been remodeled. Sadly, our room still had signs of previous occupation, the sink tap showered me with water & the AC unit failed to keep a steady temperature. Whereas, I appreciate the Expresso lounge, it is very unusual to not have free coffee making facilities in the bedroom. We look forward to staying in a remodeled room next time & perhaps a voucher could be offered to guests for a free coffee per day.

Going to Taos was a bit of an unknown. We usually stay in brand name hotels but the reviews for this property were compelling. We were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. What more can you ask. It was located near everything. The coffee shop is amazing and deserves a visit even if you don't stay here. 5/5.

This was close to everything but far enough out of the town center to not have traffic. Parking was easy. Rooms were recently renovated and everything was clean and in working order. Phone chargers on lamp base and wireless phone charger available. Also an air purifier in room. TV has a few live channels but allows you to log in to streaming platforms. A nice little area to sit outside.
